Lost & Found: La Jolla 7/13/24

Paddled out pre-dawn at La Jolla yesterday and found an almost-new inshore rod/reel combo partially submerged in the surf before launching. Virtually no rust on it, so it couldn't have been underwater for long. My guess is this was a casualty of a yardsale from no more than a day or two ago at a higher tide. If anyone recently lost a rod and reel at La Jolla, or knows someone who did, shoot me a description to see if it matches the one I found. I'd like to get it back to its owner if possible.

Nothing for me. Tons of bait around. No bites. Lots of boats around too. Had a good sized mako shark sneak up on me and give me a good jumpscare when I was changing one of my rigs though lol
