Can 100 plastic boats save La Jolla?

Now that there is a little break in the MLPA action, I would like to remind everyone that we have a benefit fishing tournament coming up on June 27th. The goal is to put at least 100 kayaks on the water that day, fishing for the cause.

If you have not already signed up for the event, please do so here.

So far, we only have about 20 "officially" regestered participants. This is as much a statement of solitarity as it is a way to generate much needed funding for those tireless folks who are fighting to save our fishing grounds.

Please, if you believe in this cause, join us on the water June 27th and for the awards party afterwards at Standley Park.

Speaking of the post tournament party, this will be another 'can't miss" event. We have just received a very generous offer to sponsor the food portion of this party. Incredible donations are coming in daily for the raffle and silent auction.

So mark your calenders and be there. Fishing starts at 5:00, the party begins about Noon.

If you have questions, donations or would like to help, please PM me.

Bob
