May be one of the last Lings caught down there for a very long time if the MPAs go into effect in January as scheduled. Assuming that beast came from the bull kelp down south.

I believe the DFG recently changed the Ling Cod regulations and my understanding is that there is no closed season and the size limit has been reduced to 22". Please double check but I think I'm correct.

I think Ling Cod will be open all year but the 30 fathom depth restriction will apply Dec 31 - Mar 31.
