The ultimate Jig stick and reel combo

Calstar 90J 9' 30-60lbs paired with a Newell 338-5.

Both are in excellent condition.

Selling together for $250 picked up in La Jolla or Carlsbad or somewhere in between.

90J

No bites huh? I had a 90J years ago. Great stick and the Newell works great with it. Wouldn't it be too big for a yak though?

I used to fish mexico a lot. Baha, san felipe, santo tomas. The mexicans love Newell reels. They are reliable work horses! The 338 is a real nice reel. The cal star pole alone is 190 dollars.

Here's a 690J doing its thing....and no it's not "too big: for the kayak. Actually it was good to have the extra length (while under tension) to get around the bow of my Revo...
