I'm in an Outback currently, but when I had a Revolution I installed two Scotty Flush-mounts to the side rails. On the left rail, I added a Ram "ball." The "ball" could be removed to add another rod holder whenever I wanted to fish two rods, usually in freshwater. In these situations, I would move the "ball" to the sail mount and the fish finder would go there as well.
I would stick with Scotty's for rod holders, when you actually want to dead-stick or fish for halibut, for example. I would go for Ram mounts for fish finders and other electronics. I didn't feel the need for gear tracs. |

Thanks for the advice! Roby, I think I'll add two scottys like your set up. Clean and effective. Thanks for including the picture and of course nice Halibut😀

No problem...
Scotty sells two kinds of flushmount. I use the 244L right now - it locks the rod holder in place, since I use Orcas. The actual locking pin on the 244L seems flimsy and weak, but it's been holding up. The bottom of the 244L is empty so you have to cap-it if you go this route. One last thing: be aware of the rudder lines below when you are installing the flushmounts. Good luck. Below is a picture of the 244L on my Outback. Andy at OEX installed these. 244L: http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/...eck-mount-244l |

Ok, Roby ordered my Revo 13 from Andy today. Having the scottys installed and of course the sailing rudder and turbo fins. Thanks so much for your advice and help. Friday (delivery day) can't come soon enough.
