Pretty cool web site!. Penn 975's are fun for YT and yellowfin too. In fact I've caught 25# to 35# Bluefin with that reel. Its now retired as my bait reel.

WOW!!! Even with my connections I still paid more for of each of the two I bought for my inshore stuff Hali's, sandies & calico's. I should buy a couple/three more for throwing swimmies for bucketmouths & jailbirds (= Mr. Stripee). That 's either a misprint or an overstock/clearance, but whatever we should nap them up! FFY Just placed an order for 2 more! Last edited by FlyFishinYakr; 06-08-2013 at 08:32 PM. Reason: Added info. |

I'd say it's got to be a mistake. They are listing the vender as Shimano. Worst case scenario they don't send them and you get Amazon to give you a refund. I've filed a few claims with Amazon and always got great service, either the item or my money back. |

Shimano might be clearing their inventory, making way for the new TranX. I'm going to check with Shimano, or a distributor on Monday. I hate having to switch my bass reels from one rod to another, or in this case from fresh to saltwater rods. Has anyone noticed that they're not showing up in catalogs? I'm thinking Shimano is coming out with a replacement at ICAST and blowing out the old models. Hence the shipping delay. I heard they're coming out with black Terez rods too... about time! Now if they could just put black knobs on the Trinidads and TranX. |

Unfortunately, this link is now showing the price at $230+. If anybody has an "extra" for a decent price I might be interested. |

I bought four initially and got the email that it was a mistake and that they'll honor one. One is better than none!

Yup, they honoured only one per order. I put in two orders, I get two. Thanks for the the tip Fiskadora, let us know when it happens again.
Here is the email from Amazon. Hello, We're contacting you about order #. Unfortunately, we recently discovered that an error caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price: Shimano Curado Baitcasting Reels (12/240, 14/190, 20/120, 6.9:1, 6 BB, Right retrieve) At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the millions of items on our site may be mispriced. However, this was our mistake, and we'll honor the incorrect price for one of the items you ordered. We're unable to honor the price for multiple quantities of this item. Therefore, we've adjusted the quantity of your order to "1." We're sorry for the disappointing news. The correct price is listed on our website now, so if you'd like to place another order for more of this item, you can do so here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003YQLZ8I We value your business and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Customer Service Department Amazon.com |
