Moken 14 Kayak

Today was a wonderful day for me, I joined the FeelFree Kayak crew as a Pro Staffer and picked up my new ride.

There are so many cool things about these Kayaks and I will be posting up photos and videos of the adventures to come. Great solid Kayaks.

Thanks Andy. I was really bummed when they had the demo day/photo shoot and I couldn't make it. After speaking with Eric from FeelFree I was so stoked and when he delivered the Kayak yesterday I knew I made a good choice. I can't wait to rig this thing up and get it shown off.

Do you know if OEX will be having their Fishing tournament in Mission Bay this year?

Congrats on the Pro staff gig Jimmy. Maybe I need to talk to Disco and see if he is adding to the team.

I paddled a Moken 12 at the last Heroes on the Water event and I was very pleased with the boat. It paddles extremely well and was super stable. I imagine the 14 is even better.

Congrats on the new Ride and Title, You do like those long boats!
So what's a Pro Staffer? Does it require an ability to catch fish? lol

The long boats are the best. If it came in a 15 or 16 foot model I would go buy one right now.

As a Pro Staffer it is my job to showcase the Moken Kayaks and all their features either by representing them at trade shows, on the water, in videos, in tournaments. Basically do all I can to help get the product shown and hopefully help sales.

Danjor - The Moken 14 is 4" shy of being 15' in length. I can't believe all the areas for rigging rod holders, storage, and gear. I can't wait to get it on the water.

I will be out for sure next weekend.

We will have to meet up so you can show me the yak. I still haven't rigged my new x factors (haven't had time/will to do it) so selling one and upgrading could still be an option.

Congrats on the new gig, their new kayaks look real nice, tell us how their built in wheel works on the sand.

Congrats Jimmy. Looking forward to seeing a big YT or WSB tucked into that big Moken tank-well

Mokens are good kayaks- Very innovative. I like that they listen to what kayak anglers want, and it seems like they put it on the kayaks within a year of the requests. A company that listens to what kayak anglers want... = good.

At first I had my doubts about the wheels, I haven't tested it in the sand yet, but when I took it off my car the other day it was nice not having to lift it onto the wheels and then move it. Came off the car, and away we went. I plan to test it out this Saturday morning. I'll be spendin some time on it this week getting the FF installed, and planning the bait tank setup.

I agree that a company that listens to the people using the product really does make one want to gravitate more toward the product. I love all the features that are installed and the potential for add ons.
