A clinch knot is so easy to tie without that gadget that I wouldn't bother with it. The best thing that it does is store your hook and clip to your pole when done fishing.

Exactly! I hooked myself last week in LJ from 3/0 hook. Right through my forearm. I want this thing for the clipper and ability to attached to like. If it sucks it was only $13.
