Hobie Revolution 2016 - Water Leak

I noticed a lot of water in the hull today after a choppy La Jolla session. It looked like a third full and I had to use the bilge pump to empty some of the water. I did an inspection after the wash and noticed the grommet for the rudder wire popped out. I just reinserted it by pushing it in. Should I glue this or is there a fix for this so it doesn't happen again?

Thanks for any information.

Making bait was really tough today. Went to the pier and couldn't get a single mac. Didn't see any bait boils. Ended up trolling a lure and got a bunch of barracudas and bonitos.

To me that sounds like more leakage than would come through the rudder hole... have you checked the scuppers for cracks?

I took it out last Sunday after glueing the grommet/bushing. It was really choppy and very little water in the hull after a 4 hour session. The grommet/bushing stayed in this time.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll keep an eye on it.

I have some air bags in the hull, just in case.
