Who Say's ?

Who say's rusty hooks don't catch fish?

I grabbed my only iron this morning thinking I may need it. Sure enough when the fish came through they didn't hit my dropper loop nor fly lined Spanish but one sure hit the iron... 2 cranks off the bottom and wham! fish on. cranked the drag tighter than usual and put the hammer to him. Never let him get any slack in the 180 plus water depth.

Rusty hook and all, I landed him.

Reminded me of Andy (Iceman) back in the day when I would see him cranking an old rusty iron around and yes.... he would get em

If rusty hooks did not work, I'd never catch fish. Nice fish!.........I always tell people "it's just surface rust"

Nice work.

I've found the best irons are the ones with rusty hooks and no paint. Mike
