HH 8-18
The grom wanted go catch a couple,so waited for the tide to chage and headed down to the usual. When I take her I fish a little different than I do by myself but she always seems to get hooked. The first Halibut was drift/back-paddle the main channel, I was watching her rod tip teaching how and bam, bendo! I saw it pulling back and then nothing, almost like it was snagged. She asked to take the rod, I started to reel up and felt like a big clump of grass...
until it got to the surface, about 18"er. She still a little freaked out by their teeth but got to the boat for a picture. On the water for a couple of hours with my daughter is great.2 halibut and one pretty nice Spot all caught on 3/8 oz Warbait with Mike Gardner bay special AA grub trailer(Hot Sauce of course) |
