Big @$$ Lizzie

Happy Saturday Fishing Family. Fishinmike and I launched today from Liberty Station at almost 5:30. As I am sure you all know the weather was warm as was the water. No breeze and the water was flat. Thought we would try a different spot. We fished off of Tom Ham’s, straight across to NAS NI, north of the launch ramp and then the shoals off of the Bali. Lots of soft bites and not a big day for us. Thought I hooked a good one off of Tom’s. Hit hard and ran fast downward. Was hoping Hali. When I brought it up I was disgusted to find the biggest Lizzie I have ever seen or caught. It was about 13 inches, thick and slimy. Hate to count it but it was bigger than than any of the spotties I caught today.

Fishinmike: 7 spotties and 1 Mack
Bubbacee: 5 spotties, 1 Mack and 1 Lizzie

The ugly lizardfish makes a great bait. Here in Sth Florida a yaker even took a sailfish on one.
