New Member plus newbie San Diego Lobster Questions

Hi, first post and Kayak fisherman of about a month and a half now. My name is Chris and I drive a red tarpon 120 (for now anyway).

I will be going out hooping for the very first time tonight at twilight in the Mission Bay / Jetties area. I have talked with a few people and read a few threads and the regs and I think that I am very well prepared, we will see.

A few basic questions for now....

1) Which is better, San Diego or Mission Bay / Mission Jetties?. Or Both?

2) Can you keep legal sized Sculpin caught in the nets?

3) If fishing in shallow water, do you bungee up all the slack to the buoy, leaving enough room for tide change of course?

That's it for now. Should be interesting tonight.
