This storm / low pressure system

Is predicted to stay for the next week . Surf is at anywhere from 5-15' on the so cal coast right now . Probably like a wash board at the launch . . I have not seen any fish reports lately . Must be very slow.

Long period swell flattens pretty well over the canyon

MUST be slow since no one posted on the internet

surf report

The surf report for next friday does not seem to be that bad with footers.
A I mistaken? I even looked at the scripps pier surf cam today and it didn't look that bad even though today is supposed to be the worst day with biggest waves for the next 7 days. It is supposed to be real light next friday. I guess I will find out. I will give report after my trip.

How long did you watch the cam? Sometimes with long period swell like this, there is 5, even 10 minutes between the sets. Take note of where the surfers are sitting in relation to where the waves are breaking.
Then again the long period swell usually makes for an easy launch at the shores.

I like the positive thought but the WSB might be pushing it.
I see 3 posts from you. Obviously new to BWE. New to kayak fishing?

After the superbowl out to 17days nothing over 1ft hitting the shores, but even this down at the shores.

Im no LJ expert but keep in mind if you walk down to where we would normally launch the launch is gonna be that much smoother.

where did u get this report? I don't trust reports that are too far out because, the ocean changes all the time, but it looks like it would be a very cool site. Yes, the launch should be easy with smaller waves at launch area, but what I worry about are the ones outside.

Normally outside you have swells rather than waves.
