Cold Weather Gear for Kayak Fishing

What is the best cold weather gear to stay dry and warm for fishing? I am traveling to Louisiana to chase speckled trout and red drum in december and i am told the weather can get pretty cold out in the marsh.

If you're ok staying warm, but not necessarily dry, a Farmer John wetsuit is the way to go. Get some neoprene booties, and a dry paddle jacket and you will be comfortable all day. Just watch out for gators! At least we only have to worry about sharks out here. Good luck and please post a report when you get back.
