Irvine Lake 4/8

Get to the lake 6:20 am head to the Sierra Cove strait , water is still coming from the pipe , so all kind of fishes are there
One rod set for trout and toss small plastic, bass is spawning now I guess so very aggressive
I caught lot of bass and one wiper(?)
Limit of trout at 9am but only 1-2 lb nothing big
It was pretty nice day no wind and not much people

best bait is inflated nightcrawler with garlic spray
Alway works , power bait is good too but if you really want to catch trout, go for inflated nightcrawler with garlic spray
I always use 2 lb test line and 2 feet of leader and very flexible 6-7 ft of rod

they stocked several years ago and they still there because of catch and release rule

Nice catch, I'll have to try garlic spray on my crawlers next time I head that way
