Silver Lake 8/13 to 8/19...

We're at Silver Lake in the June Lake Loop at campsite #23 until the 27th...and as usual it's beautiful... all though, it has been a little smokey the last few days in the afternoon...but the winds have been pushing it out...
The traffic on Hwy 14 was all going the other way on last Monday morning...
See Ya...

The famous Alabama Hills on Hwy 395...

Silver Lake in all its glory...

The Campground with Carson Peak in the background...

What every cheese bait angler waits for...the DFW Stocking Truck...LOL

The Black/Gold Hookup Bait does it again...5.7 lbs.

A few Brown trout were caught and released to swim again...such great colors!

The Crawdad boil is set for Wednesday night with some local friends...YUM...!

If you're in the Eastern Sierras...stop by and say Hi and have a beer...

I'll be up there the 21st to the 25th in campsite #7, only a stone's throw away. I'll be fishing from my bright green or red Prowler, not sure which one I feel like bringing yet. Gonna keep an eye out for you guys!

Hey Jim, it’s Garrick! Great to meet you & Dennis this past weekend. Good times fishing Silver. You found the monster lurking in that lake! Have fun on the rest of your trip.

Garrick..it was nice meeting you and your daughters...good on you, Dad, for getting the girls on their first trout.
How did the girls like eating the crawdads...?
I finally found the right combination of bait to get those Crawdads crawling...we tried just straight cat food for the first drop and it was only OK...we got a little over 100 for 8 traps...but we're doing a two night soak (last night and tonight) and earlier today when I checked a couple, it looked like most of the traps already had 10 or 20 crawfish in each of them.
Should be a fun Louisiana Boil party Wednesday night...
