Drop shrimp close to shore right over kelp stringers. The whole area was a forest so thick you could walk on it. Just meter around till you find the base of the kelp stringers and drop straight down. Should get bit pretty quick if they are there. No bites. Try another spot. Really need a fish finder for this since the kelp is all died off. If you don't have one. Drop near the lobster buoys. They should be next to the structure.

Yep, drop near lobster buoys if you don't have a FF. Try a bit (100 yards or so) south of the red buoy, there are some rocks in 60' or so that can be good at times. Also, down towards Capo at all the reefs in about 20' are a good place to try.

Skunked! Was a nice day on the water but no fish. Launch at boat ramp about 6am went straight to the ritz amd hooked west to about 130ft and bobbed around looking for piles..nothing.... head back in toward salt creek and the kelp about 40ft and kept getting my bait taken. Hit most of the buoys in the kelp heading back towards the point and had a couple nibbles. Headed to the red buoy and got a few more nibbles but nothing would take.. couldnt keep the shrimp on the hook to save my life... started back towardd the harbor and thru my new coolbaits underspin and the 3rd cast got caught on the bottom and said fuck it its time to go lol... water temp was about 62 degrees

Funny on the way in I did a "Hail Mary" along the wall, as the drift was perfectly parallel to it..........no love.
