For Those not yet True Believers
www://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/regionalprofile_sc.asp to see the mountain of data and information the environmentalist have assembled to mount their case against us. The data is mind doggling in this day and age of tight gov. budgets but most of the funding for the studies is coming from the Packard Foundation. The huge pile of data and studies being compiled as well as the numerous public meetings will make any rulings on closures very hard and costly to fight in court in the future. Attendance at the public MLPA meetings does not validate the process or the approach to the proposed marine protection zones. Attendance at the meetings is the only viable means to fight this process which is funded and controlled by folks that are not our side. The Children's/Seal's Pool in LJ is a good example of how the so called environmentalists can gain control of a situation thru their estute use of the courts and manipulation of public opinion. See you at the Hilton in Carlsbad on the old Coast Hwy. just south of Palmar Airport road at 3pm on Monday. We have to take a stand. |
