LJ PM, Tails I win.........
Dropped of my hoops and made some Spanish. Took one for a fly line cruse to the west, then south. I hear some splish-splash and troll through the churning water and get picked up. I end up sticking a seven pound football. As the sun sets I head to the hoops. The wind calms and the water glasses off nicely. I pull up this sharky looking critter. The needle like spine in it's dorsal fin looks more menacing then it's teeth. Land at 11:30 PM with these two tasty tails. Another wonderful evening on the water. 8) Ken |

Same results here. But, I launched at 4PM and armed with only metal and plastic. Thought I'd mess around inside until sundown then drop hoops. At around 6 I also saw a little surface activity and started throwing the metal. As I was winding in I thought I'd got hung in kelp, but it started going the opposite direction. Lifted this 7lb scrapper out of the water.
Through the night, I also got my second tail. Nice shark Ken, that explains what happened to one of my traps. When I pulled up my trap, my bait was gone. The whole bottom mesh was eaten right through. Oh well. It was a fun productive night. Ended up landing at 10 with my pair of tails. Jeff |

Horn shark. They've got two spines on their back, one on each dorsal but other than that they're harmless.
