New Video: Catch and Cook- Deep Fried Whole Sculpin &Rockfish

https://youtu.be/0emYVRelueU

This one was super fun to make.
I have fried fish in the wok whole before, but never with this style of sauce.
I'm not sure I'll be able to find something better, but I'm also sure I'll try

Thanks again for all of the kind and supportive comments on the last video.
They help encourage me to keep making these while I'm on a bit of a work sabbatical.

I don't usually watch catch and cooks, but I found myself watching both of yours, all the way through. I remember making these basic home videos when my kids were younger, and how much effort that took, just for those. The production value of yours is off the charts. Keep em coming!

Ha! I loved the POV of bait fish looking up at you from the bottom of your bait tank!

Nice video! Thanks for sharing. Just wondering but how did you strap that knife or pliers to the left patch of your PFD (I'm assuming it's the NRS one)?

Quality vid.

Your care for your catch is excellent and it shows in the final product.

When it comes to pulling meat from the bone, the chopstick beats the fork.

When frying a delicate fish, the wok is an excellent choice. I would strongly recommend against flipping the fish in the oil, and instead recommend ladling the hot oil over the fish. Similar to a baste, the fish cooks on both sides and doesn't risk rupture/ breakage of the tender meat when flipping.

Keep at it, your filming is approaching professional status. You can be the next Liziqi.

That was quite the pale lambic, do you have the name?

Thanks!!! that's super helpful and flattering... I did have to be *super* careful not to break up the fish.

I'm not 100% sure on the name of the beer, but I know it was a belching beaver. My wife and I are huge fans... Actually went to antwerp twice just to tour the bars with some friends who live there and get at those oude guezes that are hard to get shipped.
