If you read the DFG monthly intake guidelines you might be surprised. They recommend more meals per month from fish caught inside the breakwater then from outside ( If I remember correctly even from horseshoe kelp). So cook me up some sewer butts Catalina still has the dirtiest sewer beach in California so go figure.
Go Baytubers

A clique is a small group of people with an agenda. Baytubers is a website with hundreds of members. My post had nothing to do with Baytubers. I've got a ton of respect for Kiyo. If you want to go after me that is fine but leave him and his website out of it.

Too funny.

You're welcome to take offense if you want, but I wasn't talking about you either Tattuna.

Bugs are different because the do not store fat in the same way as fish. I hoop lots of places I don't keep fish like the MDR breakwall. Ballona creek has got to be one of the dirtiest outfalls around, but the bugs there are just fine.

There was a big study on contaminates in fish and crustaceans a few years back and Lobsters consistently scored better then fish.

Personally I don't like fishing Pedro because I think it's kind of an Ugly place to fish. For me it's just a place I pass through to get to Cat, or go troll Marlin on the slide.

To each their own though, there are definitely fish in there.

You hoop tonight? Great conditions out there love it when it clouds up like that, and blocks the full moon.

I have a "special rub" that I put on any fish caught in "suspect" water. After marinating in this "special rub" the fish turns into a breeder/pup marlin BSB/Calico.....these are the best.

Boys, get a life!

It is flippin fishing!

x2 I'll be all greasy from the bug, that should help with the friction, thanks for the offer.

Nope. Only time I hoop during the week is on holidays or if I take the day off.

Jim, that's just not fair, not everyone can just zip out to the islands, to catch butts from clean water, hook-up on WSB after WSB, nor troll for marlin.

Nor can they travel the world in search of exotic species. They might just be so envious that they take it as a secret rub or something

Yes, aren't we all, it's just that some of us deal with it better than others.

guys that are new(er) to cabrillo make sure to keep your head on a swivel near the shipping lanes... besides all the small boats and jet skis constantly whizzing by, those giant tankers move a lot faster than they look...

This is actually a great point, although we all should be extremely attentive to our suroundings when out on the water, we can become unattentive of traffic, especially if you are on fish or have your eyes glued to the meter, we all need to watch out for hazardous conditions around us, everybody, keep your eyes open out there...
I don't think it could be any worse than the 405 at 5 pm....hope not...lol
let's here it for those sewer butts and Stinkys magic rub...b
