madsientist, i think thats a cabezon not a sculpin. sculpin have a more defined orance while cabezons have that bright red. both also have no scales

I'll take your (or the mods) word for it. I haven't caught enough of the funky bottom critters to really be able to tell them apart.

dont be fooled by the bottom critters!!!i had to learn all about them before i got to work on the dolphin. you cant fillet them in california, and they have to be 15"or over. you have to gut and gil them. so whos in the lead for this contest?

I'm not that big of a jig fan, but they catch fish from time to time. Here's an underwater shot of a cod who bit a Tady jig:
