Umm...

First off I would like to give praise to all who have defended our great Country past and present allowing me the opportunity to live in a free society. My dad was a huge influence in my life including sharing his love for fishing with me. His life was shortened by the effects of agent orange and asbestos as a lifer in the Navy (Corpsman, Vietnam 3 tours). Definitely shared the moments with me out there this weekend...RIP pops.

What an incredible weekend. One of those I'll never forget. (4) trips...(5) bites...(3) landed.

WTG Jim, you are becoming a monster. At least, those are the fish rumors I hear. The switch has been turned to the "On" position, please keep your Butt in the seat, and your Butts in the uptop position.

Ha! Hardly...my PB was 17#'s before today. Just ran into some good fortune. Put a bunch of time on the water this weekend though, that helps. Thanks. Jim

Wow, just noticed the video. Good stuff there Jim. The fight was textbook IMHO. Landing could use a bit of improvement though

HA! Greg man I was thinking Matt would've caught that and given me a rash for it. Trust me, I have gameclips all over my yak these days. I should've had that thing open, ready to go...and untangled! Cheers.

i was waiting for that thing to go ballistic!

good karma points showing its head on your great weekend!

just so everyone knows....THIS is an example of paying your dues and hitting it at every chance. not just paddling out on a tiny surf day and expecting fish to jump in your boat.

youre the man JIM!

That is for sure. I went to LJ early this year with some nasty surf that turned everyone behind me back from 6am till about 9am. Thought I was gonna have the place to myself until I got outside and saw Jim was already out there. He must have launched in the dark in that crap. I think I heard his brass balls clanking as he peddled up.

My two times fishing with Jim has been a night launch in the dark in surf I couldn't see. His balls provide ballast for his kayak for easier surf launches.
