To make a long story short, Guy got busted on all sorts of stuff, 8 cops, narcotics team with dog, had a bunch of kayaks, and we have been cleared to pick up this boat.

OEX would like to thank all of the members of BWE for their support and Matt for heading up there with me to take care of this.

I love this forum! There aren't too many places on the Internet or in real life where you see this kind of "help the group" mentality.

Some people scored major karma points on this one.

Good Job CJ - By the way where exactly in Clairemont was this guy located ?

Brent here-I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for getting this guy! It's great to see BWE brings people together when it counts-so next time there's controversy on our site, lets remember BWE brings out the common good in people as well!

Happy Turkey Day everyone!

If he has posted bail, he might be at home in time for a BWE Beatdown session.
Brent: Congrats on a successful BWE web presence and crime stoppers network!
Drake and the others that helped out: Mucho Gracious, and may your lines be full of Karma!
Lurkers: Hope you enjoyed the story...
Thievs: BEWARE of BWE!!!

Happy T-giving all!

Wow! This is very cool. I had not been on the site since Sieblers first post. TMan called me this evening and filled me in on what went down. I love it. Great detective work and even better teamwork.

Sometimes this site can get bogged down with a silly spat over one thing or another. Then something like this happens and we all become brothers again. Everyone who was involved should be very proud of themselves. I am equally proud to be associated a a great group like this that always comes together in times of need.

Great ending to a crappy story. Not sure if we are better served by no publicity (so the crooks don't know we are networked), or lots of publicity (so the crooks know that we are networked). Seems like the former is starting to work for us recently. WTG to all that jumped into action to get an immediate result.

Wow, I get busy for a bit and end up missing all that action.

BWE I just wish a group like BWE was around when my mountain bike got stolen a couple weeks ago; damn, way to go!

Yeah! Good to hear that guy got what he deserved and even more important, that you got your boat back. I've been lurking here on the forum and check craigslist often just in case there is a good deal. I haven't felt like posting anything yet since I have caught nothing to brag about, but I HAD to help out. Looks like the timing was right and we caught the ad before that idiot got the chance to sell it. Nice work everyone!

Two blocks from my house. Been home the last three days fighting through a miserable flu or I would have seen the yak sitting in this DBs front yard earlier.

Anyway a bwe member stopped by to pick up some gear and was amazed to see the police cars, kayaks, bikes, and this dipstick getting arrested. By the time I went down there to check it out he was already gone. Small world. My Dad stopped by a few hours earlier and mentioned the police were out in force down the street. I just assumed it was the wife beater on the corner or the chunky white girl who loves crack head gang bangers next to them at it again. Turns out its just another dead beat tweeker thief, time to freaking move! Though I do love the back yard!

So the precise local of the police vehicles today was the SE corner home of Hidalgo and...............LOSER street. A few blocks north of Alcott Elementary.

Good job BWE!!!

I know that neighborhood. I'm on the other side near Balboa.

There has been a big increase in thefts in recent months. I would expect it to get worse as long the economy stays down like it is now.

Last week there was a home invasion a block from me. The owner was able to get to his gun and the 2 guys bolted out of the house into the canyon. The PD helicopter was flying at roof level announcing to stay indoors. - lmao

-I turned on all my lights out back near the canyon and used Steevooo 15 Million Candle Power Spot Light to light it up down there. The cops caught both of them.
-You hardly get to shoot anyone anymore, so when opportunity knocks take advantage of the situation.

My wifes friend lives right there and told us about that. She of course was walking around outside trying to see what was going on because she couldnt understand what the helicopter police were saying. I swear she needs a hearing aid!

Times are tough, just glad I have LOTS of AMMO!

So check it guys,

They are still looking for the owners of 2 Tarpon 140's (Red and Blue) and a Perception in Orange (no model given to me).

Brent or I will be stopping by Monday to help them more positivly identify model years of the kayaks and pull serial numbers as they cant find that stuff.

If you hear of anybody looking for these let us know!

Great ending to a lousy situation.
