Looks good. Cheaper than upgrading to lowrance ready. Will you cart still work? You should notice a major difference in picture.

Would you be able to use this:

http://www.westmarine.com/west-marin...03_094_010_501

Works great for sending wires through plastic while still maintaining water proof. Hole saw for the drilling.

Get the Hobie through hull wiring kit. You just need a 1" spade bit to install them. I am almost sure that they have them at OEX as well, just couldn't find a link to them on their website.

I've been studing the manual and practicing on the water and you can adjust just about everything on the DragonFly if you need to. I've been zooming in to just the bottom 100'(say from 85' to the bottom 100') of water and can really get a great look a deep structure. Saw fish crusing around at 75' with a bottom depth of 110' and I can zoom just that 75' area if needed so even though it works fantastic on auto you can run the dragonfly any way you want or need.

No wonder why you were so eager to have some wagers going on the rockfish a few months back!!! I better hurry up and upgrade before March! The x-4 is crap in Newport Canyon.

I'm jealous, take some pics as you go over the canyon in La Jolla next time Oxbeast. I want to see what it picks up.

Joystick

The joystick becomes an extension of your finger once you're used to it. For pictures you'll notice in the instructions, you can take a quick screen shot of anything on the screen any time you want. Then download it to your putr.

That's bad ass. I have fish finder envy now!!

I did some looking into that Dragonfly 4 and from what I see, it was taken down from the Bass Pro website, because it's supposed to be available in February. Even some UK websites showed the price (in pounds), but says available in Feb also.

Nice. Looks like they sold out or current units.

Post a report once you take it out. This unit for the price is a great deal!!! Waiting for west marine to carry it come February or March according to rep

X2- let us know it is Tamddo . I've been wanting new electronics, and $300 is much more affordable than $500-650 or whatever the 5.7 and 7 inch are.

chirpage

I was thinking of the raymarine web site where it shows the standard DF4 has no chirp sonar. I also noticed they have really done some remodeling of all the DF line. Now they have several models.
