accidental hookup

Did the 2 treble hook tips in leg get cut and then removal was done in the US?

Except for the jig in the leg, looks like an awesome trip. On my bucket list for sure.

Great photos from a nice fishing trip.

Thank you guys for posting.

Epic trip. Great times and a blast hanging out with everyone. Only part I would change would be not getting chased to shore by a shark

My favorite pic

He pushed one through himself, and I pulled out the other by the fishing line method. A splash of water, and it was back to drinking and telling lie... uh, fish stories.

Sigh...
Ouch!
Sigh...

Quite an odyssey. Beautiful scenery, exotic fish species, good friends.

Thanks for the report.

I got a couple positive IDs on some fish that I caught, compliments of Zed:

Cortez Scorpionfish
Grunt
Pacific Pompano
Well, Y'all know.

Great fun!

Stop molesting your lizard!

And I think I was wrong about your pompano.
Gafftopsail pompano.

Just amazing. Were you on the Sea of Cortez side or Pacific side?

I haven't fished any further south than San Felipe, but have driven to Puertecitos to plan a future trip. I love the fishing on the Cortez side of Baja.

About 5 years ago they looked to be starting to make a road that would go further south rather that a dirt road, have they continued that or is it still in the building stages?

The highway from Puertecitos to Gonzaga would be considered an Interstate here in the US. Smooth 4lane through beautiful rocky terrain. Finished to within 5 miles of Gonzaga Bay.
