should be one of the kayak fishing commandments In Dana point there is a particular sealion or two with balls of steel. They will stick there head right into you lap and try and grab your fish... A "gentle" thump on the head changes there mind. Keep your pimp hand strong I had a small Harbor Seal up here in Newport follow me around stealing my sardines off the hook, he followed me for a while. as i was shoveling dead sardines out of my bait tank he would slowly swim up and grab them 1 by one. I almost grabbed him and took him home with me, kind a a cute little thing. I got him to go away by paddlign out to deep water. This little guy realized he was in the Grey Taxman's neighborhood, and headed back to the shallows. Bottom line is dont do anything that would give kayakers a bad name. If they are overly agressive then give them a thump |
