I miss Baja. Be back from Oahua to visit SD in March for 6 days... I'd love to get OTW for one of them. Crappy time to visit, but maybe find a weather window and a lucky WSB.

Nice report guys. Looks like a blast, except for the eye thing. Sorry Art. WTG on the yellows.

Funny, I think Francisco was thinking the same thing, though unlike the last panguero he was too nice to say it. But I could see the thoughts going through his head "Loco gringos, jumping out of a perfectly good boat to paddle around on a piece of plastic". He may have a point.

Awesome trip! I'd like to get a little further south on the Pacific side soon. Never fished further south than San Quintin.
I'm glad to hear other people feel the same. Cortez yellows are noticeably tougher. My friends and I debate whether it's because of the competition for food, warmer waters, or strong currents.

No doubt about it. When I did the San Francisquito trip with Art, Neil, Bill, John and Colin... it was a mutual agreement across the board that the YT were the gnarliest fighters ever. We were getting spooled and busted off in the rocks by 25# fish, that would've been 10-minute fights to the gaff in LJ. And if you almost got sucked out to sea in that current like we did... you'd know why those YT shoulders were so wide! No joke... that was heavy just trying to get back in.
