Stupid,stupid,stupid

I got up at three this morning to hit Mission Bay. I loaded the truck last night so all I had to so was jump in the truck and go. It's 120 miles and I hate the rush hour traffic so I have to start early. So driving down I'm trying to decide what kind of paddle to buy and what is the difference between the shallow attack angle and steep and which I would need. I was coming up on 100 miles when it dawned on me I had forgotten to load my paddle. It was still before 6 and I knew I wouldn't find any place open for hours to buy another paddle so I turned around and drove home. 200 miles in a truck that gets 12 mpg really pisses me off. Oh well, there is always next week and maybe I will learn the difference by then.
