I haven't bought from them yet but they will be where I go when I buy my VHF radio.

I've been shopping at westmarine since I bought my boat back in 2003, I've spent thousands of dollars there and with the exception of a bad experience that I had at the San Pedro store I've always received great service from them. So long as they continue to have the same policies I will continue to shop there.

Maybe it should have been a winky?

I don't have the knack for ribbing you the way Mono and Ful-Rac did.

I'm sorry. That went over like a lead balloon. WAY too dry. I retract what I said and apologize.

Have fun, and Merry Christmas!

I had a very similar experience at the store in Oceanside. My elite 5 hdi GPS was very inaccurate. That is basically all I told the guy on the phone and he said bring it down. So I gave him my head unit, kept my transducer, he upgraded me to an HDS 5 and somehow I got a check for $150 in the mail. I guess because the HDS was on sale, and the elite 5 was prices high when I bought it. Definitely wasn't complaining and prefer the HDS well over the Elite.
