... That's got to be one of the best reports I've read. Thanks for posting your adventure.

Stop The Torture

Let me begin by saying that I am Zed's roommate and also his long suffering Dad. Since Zed was laid off around Labor Day, his life has consisted of fishing whenever he feels like it; mountain biking whenever feels like it, and generally thriving in his unemployment. This particular adventure began when he decided that it was "too cold " to go yaking with me one Wed. morning. By the next day, he had booked his trip to the East Cape and by the next Thurs. he was gone.

PLEASE! PLEASE!! IN THE NAME OF EVERYTHING THAT IS SACRED AND HOLY, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE FIND THIS KID A JOB, SO WE DO NOT HAVE TO ENDURE THIS TORTURE ANY LONGER.

I warn you that these reports will not stop until he has something else to occupy his time. On any day, any of you could log in to this site and you could find yet another journal of his escapades, and we'll all spend days wondering about doubting the value of our own existence.

Stop him before he fishes again!!!!

Thank you for your consideration on this matter.

The Rossman

PS Zed was not home when I got home from work last night, which is not really unusual, but it sent me in a panic. I tore the house apart looking for his Passport, and I didn't find it. My plea may be a little late.

OK, now I am worried...if Clay ever sees this post, things could turn ugly, and he may grow up and pull a Zed....
Rossman, I say you start selling his gear.

Fine, I'm not saying shit to anyone, before, during, or after my trips.
I gave you fair warning and you all sent me to MEX alone.
F-U! Go catch a rockfish, or something.

Some drama added to this thread of excitement and adventure. Maybe you can make a movie or reality show!

How's that for a job? Everyone's happy!

Nice report Zed. Sounds like an awesome trip. Cool to see Pinto is still there. When Kurt & I were there two years ago he stayed in our room.

Hey Corey. Pinto's cool. Doesn't say much.

I was at Rancho Leonero the same time you and Kurt (et al) were at Pta Colorada. That was a strange season. Remember the sardinas weren't around that year, and the barred pargo were the most caught fish on the yaks for us. The needles weren't a big problem either but there was numbers of sailfish inshore.

I didn't get a pargo and saw no sails this last trip. Just goes to show, we gotta go back to find the trends. And I'll keep trying 'til I do find them. Ha.

lambadmin, yeah you get a pass for Belize travel. No prob at all.

I loved that dog, he would sleep in my room each night, every trip I was down there ever since he was a pup. Pinto was not good with other dogs and this did cause some issues at the hotel. Last year, as often happens with the hotel dogs, he just disappeared. I can't tell you how bummed I was on my last few trips not to see him there. I have some great photos of pinto and many great memories of him escorting my family and I on walks down the beach. He was a great dog, wish I could have kidnapped him back to the states.
A few trips back there was another dog at the hotel that definitely had some Pinto blood in him but on the last trip he was also gone.

A few shots of Pinto, I miss that dog!

He would dig for crabs and kill them.
