Hey Bret I'm glad you remembered the steps to landing halibut:
1 When you see color reach far into the water to try to get them (3feet is perfect) 2 Gaff with the hook pointed to the kayak 3 Aim at the hard part of the skull, the gaff will stick better. 4 Immediately after gaffing, lift up the fish clear of the water and shake it around. You lucky SOB! Congrats Cant wait for the 21st. |
