Did you notice what happened as soon as you stoped supporting the fish by the gaff both times? Great fish George, glad you got to take it home.

Wow, that game clip bent quite a bit under the weight of that halibut. I would never know that myself since my fish never break into the double digits.

Its aluminum....that's why it bent so easily. Nonetheless, I got it at Home Depot

I must say fishing out of a Hobie is pure joy!!!!! Thanks for all the encouragement to join the Hobie family....and to top it off and catch a 10lb 31in Halibut on the Maiden Voyage!!!! Guess the Orange Aventurine color is really good luck...
