Our benefit tournament is a little over two weeks away! Let's see how many 'yaks and spearos we can turn out at La Jolla.

We're going to have a great time while raising some cash for the PSO. Some exciting things in the works - this is not your average jackpot!

For one, lunch is on Chipotle Mexican Grill - thanks Plastic Navy for the hook-up.

We need an accurate head count to be sure we'll have enough food, so please sign up now. NO PAYMENT NECESSARY! You can bring your $30 sign-up fee to the Shores on the 27th.

Sign-ups are here: http://www.diamond-safety.com/signup-form.htm

Pal, I am signed up for the big fish division on Sat. However, I would gladly give another $30.00 to be able to enter the bass division as well-- just as a way of increasing the donations you receive.

just a warning, there is a bit of swell in the water as of late today, so be sure to tie down all your gear for entry and re-entry. The waves are out of the S,S/W so they shouldn't make too much of an impact in the launch/landing zone, but better safe than sorry
Cant wait to fish for a good cause!

I really wanted to come to this but I have a sculpture I have to install up in LA (Pershing Square) on the 27th for a public exhibition. I tried to get Permission to install Friday but it's not going to happen. (F'n Bureaucrats!!)

Good luck to all and keep up the good work Paul. I'm sorry I'm going to miss this one.

Man I appreciate that but I'm just an inexperienced amateur compared to most of the pros that will be down there for this one.

I have caught a few fish this year so far but that's 90% from just blundering around and being in the right place at the right time by accident. I just watch the meter and drop on anything that looks good, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes.

I was just planning to follow you guys around and try and learn something

It would of been good to see some of the guys like PAl, Josh, Zenspearo, and Iceman, and having a good lunch.

Once again thanks to all the guys that are actively working to keep La Jolla and our other key spots open. I know the hell (and boredom) you guys go through, it's a thankless task but I'm for one am certainly thankful for your efforts on this.

I may try to get down there during the week since I can't fish this weekend, then again I really want to finish my new Aluminum Kayak I'm building before the Offshore season heats up. Speaking of... back to work!!!

Good luck to all. Sure wish I could get down there to fish with you.

Jim
