Does anyone go to the SD harbor to catch lobster and if so on your yak or on pier?

Thanks for the response about when you can drop on opening night. I went ahead and e-mailed to ask if I could drop my nets without bait and I got the generic response:
Unfortunately it is prohibited to drop the hoop nets any sooner than 12 A.M. This is still considered engaging in the act of fishing. Even though it is legal for crabs, your main purpose will be for the lobster opener. You can be cited for nets dropped prior to the start of the season. Thank you. CA Department of Fish and Game So now I'm thinking I will avoid getting run over by a PB at midnight and set my traps in the daylight on Saturday. |
