Set Time
Set Time: Are you allowed to drop gear before the season opens? That seems odd to me but one of the guys said he plans to drop at 22:00 and start pulling at 12:01. |

dont do it
Don't do it...if your trying to hoop for Lobsters, which you are, then you're illegally doing so...the season starts at midnight!
The Season is almost 6 months long. Why hastle your local DFG warden? ALL the Bugs won't be caught on the first night at the Stroke of Midnight. Some of my best hauls have been in the middle of the season. The Wardens are stressed out enough on the opener. Don't make them write you a ticket...although, this cash strapped state, could use your hard earned money to help enforce the MLPA closures. George, look what you started... Jim / Saba Slayer |

Forget the milk jugs, they are not solid enough. I use the tree top apple juice jugs and peel off the sticker. They are way stronger and have better caps.Run your rope through the handle and add the float. I use the plastic things they sell to wind extention cords on for my rope. Wind up your excess rope. Don't leave it floating loose.
