Part of the description for activities: "Swimming, surfing, skin diving and paddleboarding all take place in the waters off Aliso. Also, fishing is a popular pastime." I really don't see that they have a legal leg to stand on if it weren't done in the peak summer season and launches weren't causing any danger to surfers or bathers (maybe launch down or up the beach a hundred yards). I, for one, would be happy to take a citation and have my day in court. Apparently there is nothing posted on the beach regarding kayaking, the closest it comes is "no skateboarding". Besides, my kayak sometimes thinks it's a "sit-down" paddleboard. For what it's worth, there are a few outfits that offer kayak tours starting in north Laguna. I believe launches would involve some walking for the privateers, but I really don't know the layout. How much "No Fishing" bullshit can one take anyway. Anyway, very interesting....
