Donating $1000 to next years WCW? That's amazing!!! I was feeling dumb for signing up, since I don't get to fish much anymore, but what you said was pretty motivational! Congrats on the win!

id like to say congrats to you adi. that was one hell of a fish, i ended up taking 4th over all in the tournament, third would have been better, but 4th is still good for being only my second trip out of lajolla on the yak.

Congrats on the last minute flattapus!!! Looked like something from a survivor episode...racing to the finish with a fish over the shoulder. Nice to see some people I already have met and meeting a few new people as well including Dan who gave me a little squid also.
Here's a pic of the moon over the water from that morning.

"I think that was the fastest paddle in kayak history. People that watched it from the beach must have though I was being chased by GW or something. I made it maybe 70-80 yards North from where we usually land when I checked the time – 11:58AM."
Adi, How funny is that!,,,, 'cause up the beach at the surfing contest, some of the judges started quizzing me about the crazy 'yakker paddling like a mad man just outside the surf zone? I picked up the bino's and could tell it was you,,,, so after glancing at my watch, figured you either had a LAMB kind on board or just wanted get some lunch before it was gone! Congrats on your hali and dramatic finish! Guy P.S Dave H, it was great to see you up, around, and enjoying the weekend! Congrats to your son, Dustin, for his strong surfing this weekend! |

Ken, you’re doing some serious work with that camera. Awesome pics.
I got a glipse of the start. Pics are taken in the dark, not great. You don’t really see the whole armada of kayaks… Funny - we noticed in San Carlos how my camera has this silly mode where it takes a few seconds of audio after you snap a pic. We were flipping though the pics of jumping marlin, and heard "whoa" from the camera. Click on a few links I posted below the pic to hear... http://www.adiitworks.com/Private/Pi...hat_paddle.WAV http://www.adiitworks.com/Private/Pi...W2006/mike.WAV http://www.adiitworks.com/Private/Pi...doin_gents.WAV I dropped the ball later with taking pics… Busy… Drop me a PM if you want the original, plz indicate the file name. I hope somebody took some more pictures. The rest of the Lamb crew has demonstrated our extreme abilities to efficiently capture the moment. My new Olympus sure didn’t help:  I was giving Jasmin a ton of crap that he did it on purpose, so he can show it to his wife and say that he won. My email is adi @adiitworks.com, that’s without that space between adi and @. I would greatly appreciate any pictures.

Adi, congrats! That's a very nice thing you're doing. I hope your business endeavour works out for you. And thanks for the dressing room shots.
So... when can I sign up for next year's WCW? -Patrick |

Nice job Adi on winning the tournament with a beautie of a 'but. One heck of a nice offer to pony up money for next years BWE yearlong tournament. Very generous indeed.

Very generous is right. There are a lot of great people out there. Cool photos too. I was going to take a pic of the fish hanging up, and you keeled over next to it, but I thought I would spare you seeing that scene again.

C’mon Brad…
What master Arne did this year, retiring for a season after getting the crown, is very noble thing to do. Think about – for a year, you’re not the defending champion... You are just THE champion. 8) I think it would be much better to use that $$ to provide incentive to folks who would be joining WCW without aspirations to make the top of the list. Like monthly raffle, something where your number just gets drawn and you win… Brad, you know that tide watch I won in the tourney on the water raffle? The one that I saw you wearing and said the tide watch is gay?! Well, I have to admit - I LOVE IT. I think it is very cool. Real light, waterproof, even hip looking… And I’m loving the fact that I can tune into LJ tide swings by glancing over my watch. A shot at cool monthly raffle prize like that alone would make it worth joining year long WCW. Hopefully, more people would join... Thus making even the top prize pot something more notable...

Adi, Sorry to add my reply to this so late. I've been too busy to check the board. Congratulations on your last minute heroics to get the big win.
I can't believe your generosity, man. You make me feel bad for not really fishing hard for WCW this year. To donate $1000 of your winnings to next year's WCW is amazing. Thank you. Should we replace the Callicos on the logo with pictures of your mug? Thanks alot Adi and I look forward to some good fishing this weekend in Socorro. Corey
