That moment when you realize that your "floating gaff" is not coming back up with the Halibut. Or, that moment when your temp backup gaff breaks in two with 1 shake of a 32# Halibut.

The first one happened to me. I'm still waiting to see a post when someone gets a hali with a gaff stuck to it so that I can claim it back lol
