Important Tournament news.

Due to a conflict with the LJ rough water swim the Steve Moyer Memorial tournament will be held on Saturday September 10th, NOT on Sept 11th as planned.
Unfortunately the launch is closed from 12-3:30 on the 11th, which really screws us up. This really sucks for me because I don't return from Alaska until the night of the 10th so I will miss the event, which is very close to my heart.
If you have signed up for the tournament but can not make it on the 10th we have a couple options for you.
Option 1; ( the option we like the best) Stay entered in the tournament so that we can make the donation to the charity and we will mail you your tournament shirt.
Option 2: Let us know in advance that you can not make the tournament and would like a refund and we will do so. ( this option we are not so fond of) Refunds will not be made after the fact.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause to the participants, believe me no one is more upset about this than me.
If you have any questions or concerns please let feel free to give me a call.

Because I will not be there to help, I am sure Matt could use some extra help, particularly at the sign in so volunteers are welcome and should contact Matt.

Please let anyone you know that is entering about this date change. I just hope the date change means more of you will enter, you won't have to miss church or the Charger game now.

Maybe the change in dates might see an increase in participants.

Damn, we should have just moved the launch/landing to right in front of the parking lot. Just think of all the great video that would have produced.

As a reminder The deadline for the online $50 entry is August 31st. After that the price of the tournament goes to $60 and must be paid in person at the launch. At this point there is not guarantee that you will get a tournament shirt in the size you want or any shirt at all for that matter. Please get your entries in soon. Very low sign-ups so far.

Jim, let me know if you need a surrogate for your time in Alaska, so you can be here for the SMMT. I would be willing to take one for the team, and head up there to cover for you for a day or two....

That sucks for me,my cousins wedding is that day.Dylan and I wont be able to make it.I am still working out a contribution and I definitely am buying a shirt somehow.

For those of you that dont know,my son Dylan was diagnosed with rhabdomydsarcoma 2 years ago this july.Matt-Jim(and ultimately all who where involved with the SMMT in 2009)helped us out to the tune of $2000 and this was despiritely needed at the time.

My son is doing awesome now and is cancer free for 13 months now.I have 5 rods and 2 reels for sale that I am giving the $$$ to the SMMT.please take a second look, good stuff good price good cause.

That is great to hear T-Bone! I remember that years tournament well. That is what it is all about. I saw you've been building back up your fishing gear stock and was going to ask how Dylan was doing. Again great to hear your family is well. Awsome!

I unfortunately can't make this years tournament. With the newborn baby and my wife's birthday that weekend I am taking them on a relaxing getaway (unfortunate non-fishing). I'll be making a donation though.

Appreciate all of the donations fellas, as a part of this year's proceeds will be going to my good friend Joel Lotilla aka Mooch from Norcalkayakangler fame.

Cheers.
