5/14 the fish were hungry

Had the day off and decided to make a quickie run for some fish taco meat after dropping the kids off at school.

On the water by 9:15, off the water by 11:30.

Took a bit to get the handle on the drift, but when I did...BAM non-stop action on quality fish until I made my last cast.

While I was cleaning up, I found that one had spit up this partially digested fish.

Finished with 9 quality fish; total weight was a very respectible 16+ lbs, topped off by a 3 lb chucklehead.

Figures they would be bitting well, when I'm too busy to fish. Nice quality, when's dinner?

Thanks Bob. It'll work in a pinch. I'm still waiting for my first yellow and WSB.

Kind of tough to target the yellows for a "quickie trip" when I'm literally 100 miles to LJ shores and the local haunt is <25 minutes away.
