there is a sign at the end of avenida de la playa that lays out the rules for where you can and can not fish.

Just kidding. Put your boat in the water at the shores. Paddle out past the reserve bouy and past the point. You will be good to go there. Watch out for mermaids on your paddle out and in. They seem to travel from the cove to La Jolla shores in groups.

Get a Sabiki rig and attach it to one of your lower end setups. Attach a weight to the bottom to pull the rig down. Do you have a bait tank?

I do have bait tank.ive only paid for bait at bait barge in newport.i do have a sabiki but not too shure how to find the bait (macks)

thanks for the suggestion on looking in info the ice man had a artical on fishing wsb that gave me some insite.any more pointers for fishing la jolla

No problem. Have a good time at LJ. Remember not to take any Black Sea bass. Catch and release the sharks, they keep the fish populations healthy.
