DP Halibut

Hi all, fished DP Saturday. Picked up some bait and went out to Doheny beach for some halibut. Only managed one 18 incher. Caught him on my treble stinger hook Decided to move after an hour or so and fish the inside of the outer break water and caught a sandy and hooked 2 other Hali but could not get them to the boat. One felt pretty good.

Beautiful day started out with 5-8 mph offshore winds then calm until around 11.

Next time I'm thinking I'll head over to Salt Creek area for Hali, it seems the Doheny area gets worked over quite a lot.

Lots of activity around the bait barge https://youtu.be/7t_THHHV7iU

Didn't get a chance to video my little catch before my Gopro battery unexpectedly died

I hate it when the Gopro battery dies. I keep one running on a 20000mah battery, but even then, it overheats and shuts off. Glad to see you made it out and thanks for reporting.
