Lake Murray Bass fishing
Murray and with the surf super high these next 10 days was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on fishing the lake! Gonna go out on the skiff to Lake Murray and fish for bass. So far got drop shot with some robo worms and fat ikas rigged up. Not very experienced in fresh water so any pointers is greatly appreciated. I’ll have all access to the lake in the skiff and have a Fishfinder on it as well. Thank you and tight lines everyone |

Lake Murray is a fun lake to fish. I grew up and still live near by. Spent a lot of my youth float tubing there. With a boat you can cover plenty of ground and work the tuli weeds and other structures.
Some fun bass action, as well as blue gil/sun fish. For bass, hard baits work well and can produce some quality fish. Drop shotting worms can work as well as usual bass gear. Trout and Catfish can also be harvested there at the right seasons. |

You should be set on the ika. The finesse flip is one of the better techniques for murs.
If you want to target them, it seems I always can draw some attention on a big bait there, might try a tora tube or something of the like and see if you can trigger a bite.

I live by Lake Murry as well and fish it quite often. I've had the best luck with bass using crank baits and texas rigs tossing into the cattails. Good Luck!
