Kayaking and SCUBA - lost twins
We're reserving 5 spots for friends of BWE for a class that will have you trained and with 4 dives under your belt in less than two weeks. Schedule: Nov 11 6:30pm - orientation. Meet with the instructor at our shop and discuss the coursework and dive plans for the next two weekends. 2 hours. Saturday, Nov 15 - Academic work. Meet with the instructor to go over the books, quizzes and knowledge reviews. This is a lot more fun than it sounds and where you learn the rules of diving. 7 hours Sunday Nov 16 - Pool dive! Jump in the pool and practice with SCUBA gear. Learn to clear your mask underwater, how to react if there are problems, learn some special sign language and have a taste of what's to come. 6 hours Saturday, Nov 22 - Shore dives 1 and 2 - meet in La Jolla and walk through the surf for two dives. Start in shallow water and maybe get to the edge of the canyon for some wild views. Sunday, Nov 23 - Dive the Coronado Islands. For real. Ride on the Humboldt - a killer dive boat and dive on the islands, have lunch and then dive again. After that, congratulations! Join us for the following Advanced Open Water class in Dec and learn to dive deeper and for longer times. Normally OEX charges $295 for the class + $98 for books and the PADI certification. We're doing the class for $125 off that cost. $268 gets you certified. We'll also give anyone who signs up 20% off snorkel, mask, booties and fins (you'll want your own - rent the rest of the gear) Call the shop if you want to get in on this - there are only 4 spots left. Someone grabbed one yesterday. 760-721-6195 |
