Good Bye Friends Starting a New Chapter in Life..

I just wanted to thank everyone for allowing me to be part of the community for the last 10 years. This site thought me how to fish the jewel and introduced me to a bunch of great people along the way. Our state just isn't what it use to be and I have decided to relocate to Austin, TX and fish large mouth until my thumbs are raw and big yellowfin in the Gulf.

My son and I will be leaving in about a week and I just wanted to thank you all for sharing the stoke! Tight line my friends...

EXACTLY what I was thinking!

Indeed, California is not the same beautiful place it was when I was growing up. I have heard many good things about Austin.

Good luck with your exciting new adventures. I hope Austin doesn't follow the direction California has taken in the next few years. I'm afraid that urban Texas has become part of a battleground state that can flip into a congested socialist political nanny-state the same way California did.

Please come back to BWE sometimes and tell us what the fishing is like in Texas :-)

Congratulations on getting out.
I'm a few years behind you. This state sucks and I have lived here for over 50 years. Tight Lines

Good luck back in my home state! Austin is great, but you will “feel” California lingering all around in that city. Tight lines!
