UPDATE OCTOBER on the FLY

The post below was from Talk Baja 3 hours ago. I believe they went to LA Bay and back. I do
plan on going through Mexicali on the 13th. Is anyone else following me? Thanks guys.

Rosa Update to Mex 5 (10/10). Much better than when we came thru on Sunday(10/7) More
heavy equipment and go arounds the bridges are all close to the road. Still wouldn’t recommend
semi-trucks or RV. But very doable in trucks and cars with good clearance. Be careful as there
are still single lanes over some of the bridges due to washout of pavement. Wouldn’t travel at
night. There is no work going on to the dirt road south of Gonzaga to Chapala.

It will only get BETTER from here. Sergio is well south and will NOT affect the roads where we are.

Bob, I'll get into Calexico some time VERY early Saturday and plan to cross when you do. It has been pointed out to me today that I don't have 4WD...so my AWD will have to do. :-
I'm looking forward to this trip for quite a while!

Dave I plan to be across the street from the AM/PM at the Chevron Station by 7 am. Sea you there amigo. Your AWD should be fine.
