8/4 LJ took my nephew out on the tandem, I got a BSB, he got seasick

My nephew from North Dakota was visiting the past weekend and decided to take him fishing in La Jolla. Bait was tough, I had to catch a grunion with a sabiki, and then dropper loop it to be able to catch the 5 large mackerel we did.

The dogs ended up getting most of our bait and the rest didn't produce anything however I caught a nice Black Sea Bass that I released on a flat fall. The nephew caught the bait as well as a nice perch. We had to head in though after he got seasick pretty bad, we were in by noon.

Bummer on the kid getting sick. I hate yaking on my yak. I won't even go out on the water with out taking the pills. I now keep a bottle of Dramamine in my tackle box for this.

Nice work on the BSB, kid got to see a real life protected species. I'm sure there is an educational experience in there somewhere.

Your nephew in that picture looks like he is totally ready to go in.
Sea sickness sucks.
