Cabrillo kelp beds 1-21-16

Got out later than I had planned due to an attempt to launch at white point where the surf picked up too much after I unloaded and the tide had also gone out enough that some boilers were starting to show as the water moved out between wave so I decided to bail. Moved over to cabrillo and launched out into the surf. Got out to the kelp beds and hooked up on a decent calico early and then a mackerel shortly after that. Paddled around and kept hitting the kelp and got a few strikes but couldn't land anything else for the day. Pretty slow I think since I got out too late. Also had a nice crash landing coming in riding a wave. Had everything put away and didn't lose or break anything. Just got a nice bath to end the day. Planning to repeat the game plan with an earlier launch next Thursday and possibly bring the hoop nets too.

fixed if for you. FYI you can change title in edit, just need to click on the "Go advanced" option button after clicking the "edit" button.

Nice checker! did you get that "Fish Grip" at Home Depot?
